Redeeming Grace Baptist Church is a New Church Plant
Our Lead Planter Mason Watts shares the church’s vision for planting in Indian Land, SC.

Why Indian Land?
Indian Land is growing quickly. The decade from 2010 to 2020 saw a massive increase in population (63%) with expectations that the area will continue to grow at a rate higher than the state average (approx. 12% over 5 years). At various times, Indian Land has been among the fastest growing zip codes in South Carolina. As population increases and development continues, the need for healthy churches also grows. There are churches in Indian Land, including Southern Baptist churches, but not enough to effectively witness for the gospel.
In December 2024, a group of pastors, church leaders, and mission-minded Christians gathered with the desire to see a church planted in Indian Land. That group concluded the first step was to find a planter. Mason and Sarah Watts were seeking opportunities for Mason to serve as a pastor at that time. After prayerful consideration, Park Baptist Church decided to invite Mason to join as a Church Planting Resident to lead the effort.
We are inviting faithful Christians to join our Core Team, generous supporters to participate financially, and committed prayer partners to pray for us. If you would like to know more about how you can partner with us you can use the contact form below.
We believe that Indian Land needs another healthy church for long-term gospel witness. We pray that Redeeming Grace Baptist Church will serve as a catalyst for gospel partnership in Indian Land and Lancaster County.
The Planters

Mason graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) in May, 2024, with a Master of Divinity. He served Hopewell Baptist Church as a lay-associate pastor. Mason was a member at Park Baptist Church before moving to Anderson in 2023.
Sarah is from Smyrna, SC. She graduated from Anderson University with a degree in Biblical Studies and is currently a student at SBTS pursuing a Master of Divinity with a certificate in Biblical Counseling. She works at Anderson University as a Graduate Enrollment and Advising Specialist.
